So I took advantage of the nice weather, and got out with some some of my choppers. First time out with the NMFSH, it did not disappoint. I still love the feel, and bite of the ASHBM. The Basic 10 le is no slouch either, very light in the hand and powerful! The one log that I was hammering on was like cutting cement, super hard, no noticeable edge loss. These blades are awesome! The little guy, is a Battle Horse Knives Renegade, with kirinite glow liners. Sheaths on the Busse's are done by Dave Brown.

Those knives look great. It's great to see people getting out and using their knives. I live vicariously through people such as yourself. Between my newborn, job, and personal business, it's near impossible to get outdoors. Seeing pictures of Busses being used takes the edge off a bit :).

Good on you for getting out for some dirt time and thanks for taking the time to share with us.

On your first pic those weren't equal chops with each knife were they?

If so that B10 SMOKED them lol. The B10 sheath is wild looking I like that a lot.

Great pic's!
How you like that Big steel NMFSH?
I'm guessin the Big finish doesn't scratch like the satin?

Actually not equal chops on that pic. I was switching every few swings just for my own comparison. Just getting a feel for the handles. The deep cut was mostly the SH and ASHBM. That wood was seasoned, and pretty hard, so the extra heft of the SH and ASHBM yielded deeper cuts. The B10LE really excelled at cutting medium size limbs . Yeah, the mutant sheath is really cool, Dave Brown hit it out of the park!

Loving the BIG finish, I would say it doesn't scratch as easy, but I do have a couple marks from the kydex. It's such a hog of a knife, a very powerful blade. I doubt I ever let it go, unless times got really tough.
