Well i started the day going to the Gun and knife show, there i snagged a Skyline for $30!! Cool story as to why i bought this knife, other than the fact it was a good deal. The gentleman running the booth was just a great guy, very social, and friendly. A kid, probably 10 or 11, walks up wanting to buy a knife (father with him technically buying it of course). The little guy starts looking at them and finds the one he wants. The father asks the vendor how much, and the gentleman tells him $20. It was a traditional knife, Case i believe. The father asks if he would do $15 and the man tells him he can't because he paid $15 for it, so he comes back with $18 and the vendor accepts. The little then proceeds to take a wad of cash out of his pocket to pay for the knife. Then the vendor asks 'Oh so you're paying for it?' the little boy nods, and the vendor then says 'I'll do $15, you're dad just didnt meet the height requirement'. I thought that was really cool of him. i had been speaking with him, and he looked at me and said 'this is a dying hobby, and things like that i hope willl help rebound it'. This is one of the truest statements i have ever heard. i am very new to knife collecting, but people like that make me very happy to be a part of something awesome. I had been looking a Benchmade at another booth all day, but i went back and bought the Skyline 1 because it was a good deal and 2 to support a great vendor. So onto my other puchase, well i'll just post a picture of my 'spoils' and i will say i spent $100 today, i had a good day...

You're lucky all the gun shows around here have been canceled.

thanks guys, yeah that was by far the busiest gun show i have ever been to. The gun scare had everyone buying up guns, so not to many people were checking out knives. alot of the dealers were extremely overpriced, $120 for a JYD Etc...but this gentleman did more than earn my buisness

And when i arrived there, it seriously looked like an army walking out of the complex, and a long line to get in. Gun dealers have to love this haha!

That's a very cool story. It's nice to have people like that into our hobby, and hopefully that kid grows up to become a knife enthusiast like the rest of us.
