I am thinking about buying a few black RC-3's for Christmas gifts, there are some really good deals that include the Molle back. Are these knives constructed the same way the new knives are, using Rowen steel? Are the differences just esthetic? From the pictures, the handle material seems to be different.

okay...the colored versions,green, tan...etc...just esthetics..the green blade has G10 scales,the Tan has green canva micarta,black have linen micarta I believe, same base knife just a few variables.
