Good EDC folder

Hey guys,

So this is my first post to the forums.. I'd like to say I love what everyone has to say (good and bad).. You all seem so helpful, and it's nice to see so many people who respect and appreciate the usefulness of a quality tool as much as I do..

I'll post some pics of a few of mine in the future (Leatherman Juice S2, Izula, RAT 1, more flashlights then I'd like to admit to right now), but I'll get to my point.. I'm looking for a good EDC folder.. Now I've searched the forums and seen a lot of blades that I would LOVE to own and carry... Too many in fact, it's a little overwhelming.. So I thought I'd make a list of what I was specifically looking for and see if you guys and gals could lend a hand..

So this is something that I will want to carry with me on a daily basis.. I'm looking for:
-30 to 50 dollar price point
-Thin, but not so thin that it feels like a pencil in my hand
-About a 2 inch blade
-I'd like it to have a deep carry pocket clip (almost a must)
-Plain edge blade with no recurve
-I'm not too fussy on the steel used, but nothing painted.. No offense, but I think it's cheezy unless we're talking about a high quality epoxy like dura coat or whatever is on my Izula

I'm open to all suggestions.. I also want something that looks really nice too.. Now that's going to be a little subjective I guess, but I'm still putting it out there.. So bring it on guys.. And feel free to post pictures of your EDC blades too.. It'd be interesting to see how some of these blades hold up to daily carry.. Thanks in advance everyone..

About two inch blade? Hmmm Can you live without pocket clip, if yes, check: Victorinox Alox-series. Pioneer or old alox soldier. They make very fine EDC's. My Alox soldier is my most EDC'ed knife till this date. Next is comming Spyderco Caly 3 or my custom friction folder.

Well... this sucker hits only 2 things in your list, but it´s sure a nice EDC!!! Light, strong and good looking! :D The Benchmade Nitrous Mini Stryker!

I do love the benchmade blades.. And I've thought about a SAK, and I'm sure I'll end up getting one (or ten) down the road..

Just picked up one of these...it's slightly to small for me, but the quality is fantastic. No pocket clip, but it definitely goes deep in your pocket =):

So far it's kicked my Spyderco's, Benchmade's, and William Henry's out of my pocket.

The Buck Rush comes to mind just because I own one as well. Great little knife and comes extremely sharp right out the box. The assisted-opening is lightning fast too. I believe it is within your price point.

Is a 2-inch blade your absolute max? I think the Rush may be a bit longer than 2". Even if you increase your requirement by only a half inch you will find that there will be a ton more options for ya. Good luck.

Kershaw Leek is 3" and doesn't have deep pocket clip. SOG Twitch II is almost 3" and doesn't have deep pocket clip either.

If you're not too fussy about length, take a look at Buck Vantage small and SOG Flash I, both have deep pocket clips and around 2.5"

I like the Spyderco Delica for EDC. It's thin, light, adequate size, rides well in a pocket.

The Spyderco Dragonfly seems to meet nearly all of the criteria you've listed. I'd also second the Delica suggestion above if you don't mind going a little over your 2" ± 1/2" range.
