I made my first foray (other than putting a deposit down on a Randal) into custom knives last week. I purchased a model 3-5 last week & received it yesterday. Shipped & received very fast. The knife is very nice. Good heft & solidly built. Not real pretty but I bought it to use & not to hang on the wall. The only problem with it was they forgot to finish sharpening it! One edge of the blade was smooth & the other had burrs all along the edge.
I emailed them & they asked me to ship it back & they'd fix it up. Since I had to pay to mail it back (they'd pay to mail it back to me) I asked if they would give me free shipping on another knife. They had no problem with that & said they'd get the knife made so it would be ready when they were done sharpening my other knife.
