Well, I was in the process of moving and had all my knives packed except for my 305 that I normally use to clean my fingernails. I needed to cut a piece of half inch cord and was too lazy to walk to the kitchen and get one of my roomie's steak knives. It was not a smart thing to do, but I tried to cut it with the tiny 305 and broke the spring so that the blade would not close on its own after starting to be folded.

Once I had settled into my new place, I sent the knife to Buck and got a shiny new 305 in the mail a little over a month later. Buck really does stand behind their knives.

With any luck we will get that month back down to a couple of weeks.
I'm glad you are happy with the new Lancer, now you need to get a dozen more Bucks for all the various jobs you might encounter in your day to day. Kind of like a set of golf clubs, no one club can do it all. :)

Thanks for the kind compliment and welcome to the forums!
