My father lives in a wooded area and lives off the land. Cutting fallen trees up for lumber, sticking them in a old style stove that keeps him warm in the winter, and also a way to cook his meals. when ever I help him with his chores we sometimes take a break and give the old hatchet a few throws. now for what ever reason (maybe a little to much Rambo when I was growing up:p) I'll take out the Ka-Bar bowie  This knife never seems to disappoint  so we throw a little competition here and there. his axe my knife just good ol' fun. now I know knives are tools and certain tools are made for certain jobs so I've been looking online for some cheap throwing knives, nothing to special just something I can toss around without much worry if it breaks or gets lost. I had my eyes on these http://budk.com/Outdoor-Sports/12-piece-Thrower-Set-with-Sheath# they look like they are copy's of the Hibben's and I know you get what you pay for but for 20 bux and for 12 of them I'm thinking that's a pretty good deal.
what do you guys think?

My buddy just called me up earlyer and said he had a present for me saying "I got somthing for yah bro!, It begins with throwing, and ends with knife ;)"
so he showed it to me and it was the same one above but 8.75"
and had a sheath.

Hi Razorz,

I think, these knives are a little bit short (and probably to light weighted) for good throwing. But they look good, that´s right! :)

I have a set of three of those. Worst $10 I ever spent. Unless you use them on a dart board, they're not gonna work for you. When it comes to knife throwing, big and beefy works best. (assuming a good balance of course.)

I agree with the rest of the guys.

I have United's Gil Hibben throwers, which are about 7-8inches long. They're ok but since they're lighter, you have to mind your form a lot more since they react a lot more to small finger input.

I have since been using my larger Cold Steel true flights, which are about 12in and you simply can't compare. They make the smaller knives feel like plastic toys. You need heavy-duty targets for the bigger knives tho.
