Good Finish for texas pecan knife handle

What would be a good finish for a texas pecan knife handle? I want it to have kind of a glossy finish but still be strong.

You'll get better response in the Shop forum. That said, "Tru-oil" will work great. Easy to apply, brilliant shine or dull to satin with steel wool, and really tough finish. It's used on gun stocks.
