Im looking for a good folder, something in the 30$ -35$ range. It must;

-lock
-have a pocket clip
-have decent blade steel
-have a thumbstud (Ill settle for a hole, but I prefer studs)
-be available at a walk in establishment

Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated.

KA-BAR Dozier. Wicked good knife and for only 20 bucks.
Buck Mayo Hilo. 30 bucks at Wal*Mart, also a good knife.

If you are willing to go up to 40-45 bucks, it will open up a lot of options. Kershaw Leek, Kershaw Scallion, Spyderco Native, Spyderco Delica, Spyderco Endura...

In the 30 buck price range two knives stand out to me. The Buck 110 and the KaBar Dozier designed folding hunter knives at around $20 each. I think there are like four models of that KaBar to choose from all with a different blade shape so those are going to be the ones to focus in on. AUS8 steel too which is not a bad steel at all.

Yeah, Ill go up to 45$. I really like the Spyderco Endura. I hope LeBaron has them, (LeBaron is an excellant store to buy knives, they have EVERYTHING) that probably where Ill be buying it. Thanks for the replies, keep em comin please.

I would go with the Spyderco Native for $40 at Walmart or Newgrahm.com

Might also look at a Kershaw Storm or Kershaw Storm II. It's about a $30-$35 knife.

In fact some dude is giving a Storm II away over at Knifeforums.

First thing YES Lebaron is a great store and they do have eveything. Second I have the catalog right here and the Endura is there but there 63.94 CAD.

Canada Dollars 63.94 CAD = 54.9480 USD
United States Dollars

If its more than 40$ Ill probably have to wait a few days, but I can get it. Ill be going to LeBaron today to have a look around at what they have.

Go to Wal-Mart and spend $40 to get a Spyderco Native in S30V. I don't think there is a better value in the knife world right now.

I have to say the Kar-Bar Dozier is a great knife and for twenty dollars it just cant be beat.I think they make four blade styles. Get two at that price.

How about looking at the new Byrd Line from Spyderco. I think you get a good knife for a good price
Goof knife hunting

Benchmade Pika or Mini-Pika, $27 and $24 respectively. Better than the Kershaw Vapor and the Kabar Dozier folders, and the CRKT M16. (I have them all). You will NOT find a better knife for the price!

Great steel, lightweight, perfect blade grinds and symmetry.

Ok guys I went to LeBaron today, and the one I chose is the...drum role...
Camillus Cuda Every Day Carry. It was 35 bucks (tax included). Im really happy with it, its a perfect EDC for me. Thanks to all who posted, I looked at most of the knives you guys suggested but in the end I went with the Camillus. The Spyderco Endura severly tempted me though, I guess its not hard to see what my next purchase is gonna be.:D

Was that the Cuda EDC with the 154CM crucible steel blade? If so, that's a great price! I've been pretty happy with mine, tho' I paid a bit more for it.

Not exactly sure what steel it is, the woman at the counter (who is very knowledgable about knives and steel types) told me, but I cant remember. :thumbdn:

Edit: I dont suppose you could post a pic of your knife, then I could tell you if its the same one.

No pics, 'cept these online that don't show the blade stamped info,
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2528380#post2528380

However, if it was the crucible steel version of the CUDA EDC, it would say so etched on the side of the blade, stamped CUDA 154cm USA. When I bought mine, it was a good price at $49. It's been a good trooper. But I do like my Benchmade's a tad more.

Enjoy your new blade.
