As always, my first priority is to thank all of you. Fiddleback Forge depends on y’all, and we hope you love the tool you buy from us.
Welcome to the special Good Friday addition of Fiddleback Friday. I hope everyone has a good easter this Sunday.
Guys, this week I did a couple of things that I wasn’t sure were going to work out. Firstly, I made three knives from 3/32” thick blades with tapered tangs, and full height convex grinds. And then, I made a bushcraft version of the Gentlemens Steak Knife. It is ground from 5/32” thick 3D Spalted 01 and I have totally fallen for this knife. Dylan and I agree that this knife is very cool, and so I am going to make it a regular model called the Small Gaucho. It has that Gaucho knife feel to it.
Of the thin knives Two are Hiking Buddies, and one is a Runt. The HB’s are spoken for, and one of them is my own. Once again, I made myself a guardless Hiking Buddy. I’ve only made two of those and kept both. The other is a knife I am trading for some graphics work. I promise to have more of those for y’all in the coming weeks. The third knife is a fully tapered Runt wearing Wenge with a full height convex grind. More to come in the 3/32” thickness. Lots of 1/8” stuff this week too!
Also this week there are a good amount of base price Fiddlebacks.
As a reminder that we have machetes in stock.
The prices this week are without sheaths. I am lucky enough to work with both Heber Ellsworth and Rick Lowe. Both make fantastic sheaths that are completely different from one another. I appreciate your support for them as well.
All of the steel this week is 3D Spalted 01.
Payment may be made to Paypal, or by personal check or MO. I hold all personal checks until they have cleared. This usually doesn’t cause a delay because they usually clear before shipping day.
Attention!!! The paypal address is: fiddlebackpayments at att dot net. Please describe your purchase in the payment notes.
Shipping is included within the US. We do all our shipping on Thursdays.
Now onto this week’s batch!:
Runt – 3/32” thick, tapered from tip to end of tang, full height convex.
