So I don't bug you guys with OT questions about other things... Is there a good forum/place to go for general tools ranging from power tools to general hand tools and automotive tools? Everything from vices, bench grinders, drills, drill presses, compressors. etc. to welding, pipe bending and metal fabrication tools/equipment. Looking for care, maintenance & repairs, opinions and feedback on brands, etc. for all types of non-hafted tools.
Thanks.

Iforgeiron is pretty good. It's a blacksmithing forum but lots of tool talk goes on there.

The Garage Journal Board is a good site, especially the General Tool Discussion:

Thanks everyone for the replies. I really appreciate it. This is exactly what I was looking for. There are so many forums out there it was hard to sort through them all.

Finally got around to checking out some of the suggestions in this thread... So as not to offend anyone I started top down :)

Oh my Square_peg!! iforgeiron is awesome! When I took dad's bench he kept his anvil & vice (and my grandfather's press)... iforgeiron happens to have a whole section on each! This is like crack :) I searched on Google for a while and things like "brand xyz tool forum" or "this old house forum" kept coming up but nothing like this. Thanks!

If I don't post here for a while I'm trying to research and source an anvil, vice, manual/screw press, drill press, rebuild a bench grinder and learn how to use a metal brake properly...

Somewhat back on topic: I think I figured out a pretty nifty technique to pinch the top of a haft closed so it fits inside a very tapered eye. I turned a piston ring compressor made for RC engines (15-25cc size) inside out. Its a little hard to explain but it essentially ended up looking like a 3" tall hose clamp turned inside out. I took a bunch of pictures and will put them up on the cross-wedge thread.
