I have a subscription to Backwoodsman magazine, and my local Walmart usually gets their copy before mine comes in the mail. Once, I bought an issue before it came in the mail. The next morning, it was sitting in my PO Box. No willpower will often cost you money. Saw it Wed night. No BW today, I'm gettin' antsy :D. 4.50 isn't much, but if I bought my Blade, TK and National Geographic every time I saw them on the shelf before getting to my box, I would be out a good chunk of change.

My local library usually has a healthy stack of used books and magazines for sale. The magazines are free. I've gotten some great deals there, including an older copy of Knives 94 for 75 cents. Magazine wise, mainly a lot of fishing magazines, and a couple copies of Field and Stream and Outdoor Life. Found a book about arrowheads, spear points and knives of the eastern indian tribes.

Stopped by today, and found a huge stack of Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, and a few Vietnam themed magazines. All free.

A little willpower goes a long way. Some very good WSS themed articles too. One that I was reading in the library parking lot about a gentleman living 250 miles from civilization in Alaska.

Gotten anything to keep WSS themed at the library?

good grab. My local library has a shelf near the counter with books for sale. Never any magazines. Paperbacks are .50 and hard cover are $1. I've picked up a couple Tom Clancy hardcovers for $1 that had never been opened. Never seem to get anything outdoor related though.

I haven't been by there in a while. I think I'll stop on the way home. Thanks for the reminder.
