good idead or bad idea?

i have a friend of my that etches metal with acid and i wanted to do a project with her (she is one of those artsy kinda people). so we were talking one night about taking my CF delica and putting somekind of a design on the blade. now i have a few questions for you venerable knife knowitalls. how hard is it to break down and reassemble the CF delica (yea i know warrenty..bla bla bla), second if anyone has done this before what kind/strength of acid should we use. usually she etches on copper plates which im sure is much easier than VG-10.
