I just wanted to express my appreciation for Kershaw's parts and hardware policy. I recently tried to get 2 of the 6 screws that hold the scales on my Spyderco Nilakka. After 2 calls and a few e-mails, they told me to send the whole knife in for two screws. The outlet told me they might be able to locate some "second-hand screws and mail them to me." That was five weeks ago.

Whereas I needed some pocket clips and some hardware for my ZT 0350 and Kershaw Rogue, one 5 minute phone call (if that) and a week and a half later I had the hardware plus extra screws in my hand. Good job, Kershaw.

Take a lesson, Spyderco, this is how it's done. It's a shame that Spyderco makes such great knives but fails to provide the customer service or policies to back it up.
:grumpy:

I agree. Also, I don't intend on this being an invite for bashing, but the parts policy that Spyderco has always irked me. I had to pay almost $5 for a single pocket clip, one of the wire clips for a Sage. I did get it quickly, so to me the speed was fine. However, I've asked Kershaw/ZT for Skyline clips and parts, clips for ZTs, and they're always very generous. As soon as you mention "I bent my clip..." They throw in a couple more in case you do it again.

Skyline parts? Absolutely. I just got a whole new set of parts, since I was restoring a red Skyline. Got everything but the handle and blade.

Kershaw is quite the amazing.

I agree - really don't intend this post to be a bashing party, but Kershaw has the best policy around.

Kershaw cs is awesome, they have earned my loyalty. It has a lot to do with why I never worry about actually using KAI knives, I know the products are backed up by the manufacturer.

My buddy just had this same experience with Spyderco. Too bad because they make some awesome knives.
