I've had a Kershsaw 1079 Outcast Bushmaster for a long time. I bought it for cutting vines while hiking but I was never happy with the edge. It didn't come with a good edge and I just could not get a good edge with that D2 steel so I just kind of gave up on that knife. So, a couple of weeks ago I started thinking about that knife and thought I would give Kershaw's free sharpening service a try and I sent it in to them. Two weeks later and I got the knife back with a beautiful, paper slicing edge. I'm impressed - thank you Kershaw! That knife is one hell of a chopper!

I have one of those and I agree that it came with a terrible edge. Maybe I'll send mine in...

Nice, hell yea that's good to hear! I've got one of those as well back at my parents house. I'm going there next weekend, I'll definitely have to grab that. Kershaw can put a dang good edge on when they're in the mood.
