Good knife around 6-7 inches in a steel stronger than 1095?

I'm looking for a new knife that's around 7 inches. I have some in 1095, and while I don't expect those to fail me anytime soon, I would like to have something that's just a little bit nicer. Corrosion resistance is not as important to me as edge retention or toughness. Steels I was looking at were CPM-3V and CPM-4V, and maybe S30V. I want a drop point knife similar to like an ESEE 6 but in a stronger steel. Edit: Max price I'm willing to spend is $200. Also if there's a smaller blade knife that's a great deal, such as like a 5 inch knife that you think would be great don't be afraid to suggest that too.

Did forget to put price range, the very max is $200 but I'd like to stay a bit under that. Edit: Also, if trying to find a knife like what I'm looking for and under $200 isn't feasible, just let me know, I'm not super great with knife pricing and the like so this may not be a feasible combo.

I just read this - probably wont find a Busse at that price. Swamprat maybe.

The Cold Steel Warcraft Tanto comes in at under $200 and is a fantastic knife in 3V. It is, however, a tanto obviously and not a drop point. Maybe you could reprofile one. Otherwise, I would look at the Knifemaker's offerings here on BF. You can get some incredible knives right here that just might fir your specs.

Not sure if it's tougher then 1095, but I had a Dpx Milspec that was made with niolox. The blade was 6", and took a butt whooping. It cost me $220, if I remember correctly.

Thanks everybody, will check out these knives as well as look at the knifemaker's forum. I've also been thinking about trying to make a knife myself, though that may take some time before I'm proud enough of my knives to use them.

Check out Benchmade's 202 Leuku -- it's in 3V and fits your budget. It's a larger version of Benchmade's Puukko 200.

Copper & Clad (a supporting dealer as far as I know) has the Buck 119 and I think the 120 in 5160.

Watch the knifemakers section here for a while. If you see something that interests you purchase it. Otherwise, find a couple makers that have a style you like and then contact them. I've got in touch with several. Most are willing to make whatever you can imagine and afford. Prices aren't as high as you might imagine. Some are, some aren't. There are some good deals on great knives if you're willing to shop for a little bit.
