Hey everyone, :D

I was wondering where I could purchase quality handle scale material, such as Micarta, G10, etc.

I use Burlsource for Wood, but have never done other handle materials, could somebody please inform me as to where I could get myself some handle scales.

Also, Something other than Texas Knifemaker's Supply, I've looked at their Micarta, and I don't know if it's just me, but It looks a bit strange.

I wouldn't mind whatsoever, buying from them, but I would like to know my other options, thanks again. :D

Midwest knifemaker supply or Jantz knife supply. I also like Alpha Knife supply

I've used Micarta and G10 from Texas Knife and others listed and they're all about the same.

I buy just about all of my G10 from Alphaknifesupply.com They have the absolute best prices but you have to buy in "bulk" and have a $25 minimum order. They are good people.

If you are looking for single set of scales, then usaknifemaker.com has a good selection and they are also good people.

I have gotten from texasknife.com several times and met them at the show at Ft. Worth, but when they told me they didn't know who Aldo Bruno was, my opinion of them went down quite a bit. It's a bit off topic, but after they looked at Aldo's prices, they found that he was selling it to us cheaper than their steel supplier was selling to them.

I have used Jantz, and they are good people. I had a file that was messed up, and Jantz sent me a brand new one free and didn't ask for the old one back. That said, AKS is a good place for a specific set and are really cheap. Jantz will take care of you for everything, though.

I buy all of my G-10 and micarta from Alpha Knife Supply (AKS). I believe they have the best selection, including thin pieces to use as spacers.

I buy most of my natural materials in person. I'm lucky enough to live fairly close to Texas KnifeMaker's Supply, so I hand pick my wood and an occasional stag from them.

I've purchased scales, blocks, and stag rolls from ebay, AKS, and Elen Hunting. I just like to see good photos of the exact piece before buying.

Notice the trend? Alpha Knife Supply (AKS) is great and they are run by good people. It makes a difference.

I tend to shy away from Jantz for handle material based on the poor quality I've received when ordering some G10 and diamondwood in the past. That's not to say I don't use them anymore, but I tend to not buy certain types from them anymore.

USAKnifemaker.com (midwest knife maker supply) is easily one of the best suppliers PERIOD, if you're looking for a wide range of quality products and some of THE best customer service around.

That being said, I've been very pleased with AKS, and would go with them when looking for something a little more specialized, or that USAknifemaker.com doesn't carry.

I do wish they would get a shopping cart on their site though.

Thank you for all the help, guys.

I've checked out USAKnifemaker and AKS, and I'm loving USAKnifemaker, it looks amazing.
