Hey guys, I'm going to the mountains for Thanksgiving, and wondering if anyone knew any good shops. I'll be by estes park.
Thanks in advance.
Eric.

There is a traditional archery shop with a good selection of knives on Sheridan blvd just north of 38th avenue on the east side next to amici's.

I just got home from a working vacation in that area. I found a knife shop in Estes park that looked good but was always closed by the time I got out of work. It was called Rocky mntn Knife Company. I think it was on Moraine Ave but not sure. It was a side street to the left as you got to town on 36 from Boulder.

Watching the bull elks sparing about 50 feet away was almost a religious experience!

That is Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear. They are on Sheridan at about 54th not 38th.

There is also a nice knife shop in Estes, I don't know the adress but it is on a side street just off of the main drag. If you asked in any shop, I'm sure someone could point you the way.

As Bigox said, there is one in Estes Park. They have a fair selection of knives. In the back room they stock some knives from a local custom knife maker. They look pretty nice.

+1 on the Spyderco Factory Outlet store in Golden. Some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable folks you'll ever meet and the knives are, IMO, the best value available today. Stop in, you won't be disappointed.

all the best
Dan

Saw this makers work at a Denver show. He lives in Allenspark which is just down the road from Estes. Name is Kenneth Brock, he has a nice miniature collection also.
