My birthdays coming and I want to treat my self with an expensive knife. Been looking some spydercos and 707 sequel

Spyderco Para 2 is the best knife under $200 IMO, unless you're looking for a folding prybar...

The Sequel is a very nice knife - they have a good price at GP. I just picked one up.
It is in my pocket right now.
Another knife to consider is the Spyderco Chaparral. It winds up spending much more time in my pocket than the Sequel.
The Chaparral is a little smaller, and a very nice knife.
It all depends on what size you want and the sort of handle. The Sequel is a good knife, and has aluminum handles. The Chaparral is a tiny bit smaller, but has a very comfortable textured carbon fiber handle. If you prefer the axis lock, then there is little to consider. The back lock on the Chaparral is fine, and the blade is an excellent cutter in S30V, and only 2mm thick.
If you have big hands or want a larger knife, also consider the Spyderco Caly 3 or the slightly larger Sage 1. I have the Caly 3 in CF and ZDP. Action is about as slick as they come. I often prefer a smaller knife in my pocket, and there are times when I have the Spyderco Michael Walker in use (discontinued) or the Chaparral.

It all depends on what you are looking for. Blade length/shape? Handle material? Lock preferences? Etc...

you can't go wrong with a Becker BK2 i just picked one up a couple weeks ago and i love it. 1/4 inch thick 1095 cro-van steel sheath is righty or lefty carry all around good knife.

Pretty much everything I have falls between 50 and 150 bucks. Here are the ones I would recommend:
Spyderco Police 3 (Kind of a gentleman's Military)
Spyderco Military (Well, it's being shipped to me, but I recommend it anyways :P)
Boker Albatros (Fun to play with and built like a tank)
Cold Steel Rajah II (Huge, strong, sharp, beast mode)
Benchmade Griptilian (Actually got it for $46 new, but still...)
Kershaw Speed Bump (Lots of moving parts, but awesome anyways)

Good luck!

Nobody even mentioned the Benchmade 710,that is just an absolute shame. You can use it for 8 years break the blade and send it back for a replacement like i just did.The replaced all the screws, clip and installed titanium spacers instead of the crappy plastic spacer. They also put in a new spring, long story short, they completely rebuilt it to like new condition for 25 bucks!
