Good leather belt sheaths for slip-joints?

I have a new Case Stockman and I want to put it in a leather belt sheath.

Looking around Amazon and other places, I see questionable leatherwork and lots of stuff that appears to be all the same. I'm looking to spend $20~$40 or so for something reasonable for my large Case Stockman. I am looking for something practical and sturdy to protect my knife while keeping it handy for times I need to use it. I don't need fancy flourishes and I am focused on leather quality and quality construction in a nice "brown" color.

Where should I be shopping (I'm assuming leather specialists on this site are out of my price range)? Any recommendations for someone on Etsy or a similar site? What should I be looking for? Is my target price range reasonable?

TIA,
Sid

They're black, but the sheaths from Buck are great and very reasonable.

what stockman did you get, which pattern number? Is it the actual large (X375)?

The Case ‘Trapper’ sheath fits the large stockman fine as long as you don’t mind the trapper lettering.

I can't speak for anyone, obviously, but I'd imagine you'll be hard pressed to find someone (a leather worker or custom maker) to make and ship a nice hip sheath for 20-40 bucks. That's asking a lot for a little. Premade options would be more likely to fall into the price range.

Each picture was taken with a 75 in it!!

Each sheath is a winner in my book and all are Case!!

Maybe I can add some racing stripes and the super sport logo on it. 😁

Thanks for the referral guys, and for a custom sheath that has a fold over flap, it would be a bit more north of your budget of $20-$40 range.
Might have better luck on the big river site or possibly etsy marketplace
Or
You can try your hand at making something that fits the knife you have. Plenty of how to instructions here and on YouTube.

Check out military surplus. I found a sturdy nylon magazine pouch with a clasp that fits my CS small Twistmaster.
