Good left handed folder general purpose

Im looking for a good general folder for left handed use. I like the Kershaw Ken Onion Random Task Leftie (KS1510L) I like the Ken Onion Tortion Bar Asst. Opening. It has nice weight, action and seems to be a good all purpose folder. I do not want this to be a serrated blade.
This knife I have found for sale for $125
does this seem like a good price, a good knife, and what is the general opinion of this item?
The thing I dont like is that is has a ridged edge that, when worn in the left pocket, scrapes the left hand when it is inserted into the pocket. Kershaw told me too bad, get used to it.
I tried Benchmade and Spyderco, but dont like the action on them.
Any advice on where else to look?
This is my first post and I appreciate the forum, and Id like to add that this is an amazing site for all interested in knives.
I am impressed!

Welcome aboard! You sure you don't get on with Spydercos? As a lefty, my first decent knife was a Spyderco Police that's still going strong after 7 years of daily abuse. Knowing what I know now, I'd have gone for a Military coz its easier to "flick" open, but both are great gen purpose knives. Or a Starmate...
I don't know if this will convert you to the cause but IMHO the Spydies are worth another look

Welcome fellow LEFTY!

Ferret's right about the Spyderco folders --> lots of them are ambidexterous: Calypso LTWT JR, Native 440V, and Delica98 come to mind. They carry larger models as well. The 'drop' method is fast and effective.

Benchmade 730 Ares, or 710 Axis locks are solid performers as well.

Good luck, let us know what you end up up getting.

Hmmm...

I can't think of many folders whose actions are smoother or stronger than a Benchmade Axis Lock, and the 710, 705, and 730 have reversable clips.

In the lockback department, Spyderco has a lot of choices with ambidextrous clips.

The Al Mar Ultralight Eagle and Falcon are nice slim elegant lockbacks in AUS8 and black linen micarta (probably from the Moki plant, like many Spydercos and other respectable knives), with dual thumbstuds and reversable clips.

And, in a whole diferent price range, with meticulous attention to detail, Chris Reeve makes left-handed Sebenzas.

OR

If you REALLY like that Kershaw 1510L, but don't like the profile, you can do what my friend and I did to ours: reprofile it CAREFULLY.

My friend's handle is basically now shaped like a SAK "sausage link" shape, with the blade slightly reprofiled to match the handle. I didn't take off quite so much material, and just rounded edges on the pivot end, and matched the spine with the new handle profile. Both these knives function perfectly fine, and in fact we like them better now thab before.

However, this WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTEE.

But then again, if you like the knife, but not the profile, it's just Ti and G-10. If you want more details email me.

First, I would like to thank everyone for the great input, I have been a 'reda only' here for a while, but was stunned with the great idea range and support I have received when I asked about Kershaw Ken Onion leftie 1510.
First Id like to say Im considering a Sebenza leftie. I like what I have been lucky enough to see.
In addition, I cant handle the spyderco reversable clip (at least in the form of the knife Im getting rid of, a Rescue II). I dont like the motion (I dont flick it, I use my thumb to open it) and its just not as sweet as the Ken Onion. If I flick it, it takes too long to then re-arrange it my hand for proper grip.
I tried the Benchmade but I dont like the feel of its action (Im sure I could get to love it, but at this point I am either going to buy the Kershaw Ken Onion leftie or it and the Sebenza.)
I would like a little sypdero leftie (revs clip) with a half-serrated edge in Stainless handle. A simple little 3" blade or so, as an addition to my collection.
Please, all spyderco users (lefties) reccd the model you prefer (remember, leftie or rev clip) and think low cost, efficient and nice. No 'civilian' style or anything, just a simple spyderco that fits the bill.
Thanks to everyone for al the support and help and suggestions and for the warm welcome.
Respectfully,
Jim Bianco

Welcome, jimrb. I have 2 LH knives- a BM AFCK and a REKAT Pioneer, both I'd highly recommend. Another that always looked interesting to me is the first Spydeco/Terzuola collaboration. If you haven't tried a BM 710 yet, check one out. Very nice.
