Looks like a nasty storm. 2'-3' in areas around Boston. Where I live we average about 20'-25' per year. ;) Stay safe all.

Yea it's crazy, they canceled just about every school in MA. Good luck to you too. :)

I just heard on the news If you are driving right now you could face up to a year in jail and a fine. Its rough.

Yeah, I'm originally from the mid-Atlantic region. They are not well prepared for heavy snow there. Schools close, people can't drive, and on and on. It can be a bad situation. But I love crazy weather. It is exciting. Have a few drinks and enjoy the show from the safety of your homes. You guys and gals take care.

Thanks for the kind thought. I am ready for mother natures big show tonight. I done this dance a few times in my life.

Thanks! We got just enough to justify sitting by the window and admiring the winter wonderland. :D

I walked across the street earlier today with no trouble. One reason schools and jobs close this year is we haven't had snow -- might as well use up the planned snow days.. If it wasn't for that crazy hurricane, I would have said we haven't had weather. Really mild. Went out half an hour ago to see, and lazy flakes were drifting down, not all that cold.

Glad you are enjoying it, Esav. Good thing you are not further north. The footage from Boston is pretty nuts. :p

Brace yourselves, I'm in PA and right now I'm reading winds 31 to 38mph and gusts of 56+mph at 23F and dropping.

Good luck to you guys!

Whe had a small tornado touch down two weeks ago........dident have to clean the gutters though;)

I spent a couple of winters outside of Boston a long time ago. COLD. Ice. I didn't mind stay!
Pennsylvania? How bad could it be?

Aw yeah, and I'm sure tomorrow I'll be out in the thick of it with repairs.

It's brutal outside right now. Just picked up nearly 4 inches in the past hour. I'm afraid the cars will just be lumps in the snow when I get up tomorrow,

Central CT here. I just came in from 5 minutes outside. I've lived all my life in MA and CT and I have to say, this is one for the record books. Stepping outside is like standing in front of a ski resort snow gun. Accumulation is easily a foot now, but it's tought to tell exactly. Drifting between cars in the lot is well over two feet. I expect all cars in the lot to be totally buried by morning. Wind is really howling too. I checked the CL&P outage map (electric utility) and southeast CT is really getting hammered.

A blizzard predicted to be of epic proportions is pounding the Northeast, already bringing more than 2 feet of snow to some areas and cutting power to 650,000 homes and businesses.

More than 28 inches of snow had fallen on central Connecticut by early Saturday, and areas of southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire notched 2 feet or more of snow — with more falling.

The storm is being blamed on at least four deaths in New York and Canada. In New York, a 74-year-old man died after being struck by a car in Poughkeepsie; the driver said she lost control in the snowy conditions, police said.

Hurricane-force wind gusts are sweeping the area, and a gust of 76 mph was recorded at Logan airport.

Hopefully, Nemo peters out soon, in the meantime stay safe.

Doug

Stay safe stay warm and if all else fails leave the blankets take the knives!!

Seriously though stay safe.

Cheers!

Wow, this area looks like a giant marshmallow. They plowed last night but the parking lot doesn't even look touched, the dry dusty snow just blew around and filled it all in. The big guess is, will rain on Monday wash it all away? :D

Good luck all. Time to snuggle up with a loved one, favorite beverage, and dog.

I spent two winters in the U.P. of MI and I've seen enough snow to last me a lifetime.
