I was wanting to know what you guys think is a good microtech stonewashed blade manual folder that could be used as an EDC, so no eradic blade designs like a talon. Also it's gotta be under $150.

What about the Socom or the LCC? There both good ones, i like the Socom more myself, but the LCC is fine too!

The Kestrel, although the blade may look a little radical at first glance it is really nothing more than a slightly modified wharncliffe. It is one of the more useful knives I have in a utilitarian sense. Easy to choke up on for scapel like precision cuts.:)

The Amphibian has a very practical recurve edge (much like a big Darrel Ralp EDC). It's flat ground and scary sharp. The handle is very ergonomic. Mike Thurber (WOW)has some for $ 130 (See For Sale Dealer forum).

I like the useful blade shape and heft of the LCC. Opens fast in the manual version and can handle quite a variety of materials to cut.

Mini socom is great and very functional. Pretty inexpensive, or you can get one for a real cheap trade on the trade forum right now;) . Josh

I carry an LCC as my EDC. Mike Turber's got a pretty good sale going on these in the Exchange forum here.

At the price Mike Turber has them I say jump on one or the other! MT LCC would be my first choice and then the Amphibian.

the amphibian is my favorite, never liked the other blade shapes too much on the MTs the amphibian has a good handle and the blade is awesome, the recurve is great it's grinded thin but still has a thick spine so it's a real good cutter, my second choice would be the new s30v LCC

my fav MT is the SOCOM elite, the SOCOM, and the LCC in that order, if i was ya i would look in the for sale section and get one there.......i.e. i got a LNIB '98 mod SOCOM M/A for $150, shipped, a SOCOM elite w/brend grind part serrated blade for about $165, and a gen 1 LCC w/ti bolsters black PE blade, $130, all LNIB.....

imho MT's are the very finest production folders made, bar none, excellent knives!!!!!

That's simple, all of them! :D

I have a SOCOM, two SOCOM elites, an LCC, and a Kestrel and hope to add an amphibian to the collection once I see how much money I have after some computer upgrades. You can't really go wrong with anything. Personally, I favor the SOCOMs since I like the satisfying click they make when they open. The kestrel feels a little small when you take it out of your pocket, but not when you hold it. It may not be an optimal choice for people with big hands. Anything you choose will be a good EDC so no bad choices here.
