Looking and looking. Wondering if anyone has any ideas?
Stuff that is not hard to find. Stuff with titanium and modern steel

I kinda like the looks of the j.e. made zulu/Phoenix and the lionsteel bestman, but eh.... Wondering if I'm missing something better

The WE MRF is one that I'm currently enamored with. S35VN steel and cran force' type slip joint with marbled or shredded carbon fiber. But, it may not be small enough for you.

Fantoni dweller.
Victorinox.
Case.
Benchmade proper.
Spyderco PITS, roadie, clipitool

You could buy a Benchmade proper and flytanium titanium scales for it and still be under your budget of $200... although I’d personally leave the micarta or g10 it comes with on it.

What about spending around 50-60 dollars on a Cold Steel Lucky or Lucky one? Carbon fiber, S35 steel, theyre small, plus youll save a bunch of money.

I've misplaced my aluminum Thrill and just replaced it with a Ti version. Great knife. I also have a Viper sowbelly.
Edit: forgot to add a pic

I don't know which models are "small" or which are "not small", but the only "modern traditional" I've read anything about here at BF is the Lion Steel knives.
I don't know if they are with-in your budget though.

The Lionsteel knives mentioned above are good options, as is the Viper swayback, available in a few handle options.

I like the fit and finish of JE Made over Lionsteel - both are very well done, just my preference

I also think the proper is a good choice, but instead of spending extra on the scales, upgrade to one with a better performing blade. The micarta proper with Krein regrind is exactly $200 flat, and cuts like a laser

Lots of nice suggestions

OoOoo....proper with flytanium sounds nice. Didn't even think to check for scales

I like that viper swayback knife, even if it isn't titanium. I seen a cool titanium swayback somewhere, but the thing was like 500 bucks

Thought about the cold steel one, and saw the small spyderco keychain knives, but looking for something better

the Vipers ARE one piece titanium liners and bolsters. And M390 blades. Under $150

the CK exclusive Viper knives are the nicest moditionals (modern traditionals) I’ve seen. Here is my sowbelly version
