Looking for a decent long lasting money clip (for few dollars and 1-2 cards) in that price range.
I do not really care if it's titanium or steel, as long as it lasts and doesn't loosen it's grip over the years.
If something more expensive is REQUIRED for durability, then feel free to recommend that too.

Thanks !

So If I am going with a money clip, titanium is the only choice ? Will steel always loosen up after a while and become useless ?

I only have two money clips, so I'm probably not a full blown expert on these things, but here goes...

I have one non-titanium clip that I ended up jamming more stuff into than I should have. Result--the clip doesn't hold things as tight as it used to. This pretty much renders the clip useless for its intended task. :thumbdn:

The titanium clip I'm currently using is still holding strong.

There was mention of a carbon fiber clip in another thread. Alas, I have no experience with a CF clip so I can't comment here.

I'v been using their regular bead blasted one for about three years and could not be happier! Still has as much spring as it did when new, and matches my Ti framelocks!!! :D

To heck with a wallet, get this clip and never look back. Lose that bulky square in your back pocket and go with this clip and drop it in your front pocket.

My Carbon Fiber one will be here today shortly so I'll let you know how it is...

A little more expensive than regular titanium ones but about the same as the larger capacity Ti clips.

I love money clips so I have several.

In the end it'll depend on how much stuff you want to shove into the clip. With my titanium clip, it can fit a lot of stuff as the thin metal will flex easily. With carbon fiber, it doesn't flex as much so you'll find that it gets harder to jam more and more cards, money, etc into it. Plus CF clips are generally more expensive.

So I would say go with a titanium clip.

This man is right. I got my CF clip today and I really like it. However it is not as flexible. I am a minimalist so I only carry 4 cards and 2 bills. It is extremely light weight and I can barely feel it in my pocket. It also doesn't poke me or scratch up my knife or pen I carry clipped to the same pocket.

I am using a Boker subcom to hold the ones in the pocket. Picked it up from ebay for less than $20 including shipping.

Any excuse to carry another knife.

Hehe Yea I already have a gray subcom !! Never thought of using it as a clip, good idea there !

I will also get the 25$ titanium clip on the website above and put this issue aside.

Titanium is a much better spring than any stainless steel can ever hope to be (it's better than a lot of spring steel too). Titanium takes a lot of overtravel to take a set, enough where you usually have to very intentionally be trying to do it.

 Great choice. I've used a Spyderco Spin, love that thing.
