Hi All,

I've been "lurking" for a couple of months now and finally got the opportunity to sit down and introduce myself. It actually took until now to read pretty much the entire forum! Holy smack! I saw my first ESEE (RC) knife over on sigforum earlier this year, and got the bug. I received my first ESEE, an RC-5, as a Father's day gift this year and it was all over. I went for the 5 first because at the time I thought I had plenty of knives for hunting/fishing/camping etc. but didn't have a real shtf blade. I think you all know how it went from there...had to have the 4, had to have the 3, you know the routine. Anyway, I've ordered from a few different places, KnifeSupply.com, BladeHQ, and most recently an Izula and Fire Kit from The Knife Connection. Great service, shipping, and product from all three, but I will be staying with Mr. Stoops from here on out. A handwritten Thank You on the receipt is hard to beat...almost like a handshake when dealing online/through the mail. Thank You Sir! Well, all I have left to complete the collection now is a Junglas and Izula II, then come the duplicates! Gotta have more 3s! When I figure out how to post pics I'll do so, as the kids and I are really enjoying the new toys. Two boys, 17 and 14, and a 7 year old daughter. All she wants to do is whittle! Additionally, thank you to Mr. Randall, Mr. Perrin and Mr. Pelton for sticking with your convictions. Honesty, integrity and fairness, along with producing a quality product will go a long way toward restoring the American Way. To all on the forum, thanks for all the knowledge and information thus far as I've learned an exponential amount and hope to be able to contribute in the future, and its nice to know that there actually ARE people out there who share my values. Its pretty obvious here.

Frank

Welcome Frank! It's great to have you here!

Thank you for your kind words & you & the kids enjoy your knives!

Welcome to the forum Frank! ESEE's are definitely an addiction for me. I also couldn't agree with you more about Dale and The Knife Connection. Sometimes it seems he has already shipped my order before I even place it! I'm currently patiently awaiting the shipment of the HEST folder and Izula II I have pre-ordered from TKC.

Also nice to know there are others who appreciate the 3 as much as me!

Appreciate your words and for being here.

Jeff

Welcome to the forum & the addiction Frank. Big bump to what you said about Dale @tkc. It's always good to see great service nowadays, especially when buying a kick*ss & quality product like an ESEE blade.

Don't want to get too chatty but I figured out how to post pics, so I took a couple and put them in the photo thread. Just knives. I'll have to get some of our next outing...must...make...fire...

Frank - it's nice to have you here! It sounds like you also have your kids squared away, too. I'm looking forward to reading more of your good words. Welcome!

Welcome! I love all of the ESEE blades... but those threes and fire kits kill me. I can't get enough of either of them.

Dizwolf, I think I'm addicted to the fire kits now too. I feel like I'm on a constant quest to find the best tinder and a new reason to build a fire (it's dryer lint so far or pjcb for wet weather, and today's reason to make fire was because it's Thursday). Teague, thank you for the comment on the kids. Yeah, I'm a lucky guy. The 17 year old is of course more preoccupied with 17 year old things and not as into the outdoorsy stuff as he once was, but that's ok, he'll come back...we all do. The other two can't get enough marshmallow toasting and whatnot. Good for me, its important that they know how to enjoy life without cellphones and TV sometimes.

Thanks again to everyone for all the welcomes and comments.
