I'm looking for a good multitool. Not many specifications except solid, and compact also not too expensive. Thanks in advance.

for a small size, look at the leatherman juice series...even fits unobtrusively on dress pants....or in the pocket. i EDC the juice S2.

for a full size, look at the swisstool series by Victorinox. the fit and finish and ergonomics of the swiss series is unparalled. i have the swisstool spirit:thumbup: . every tool locks and they dont come out in clumps like my leatherman wave.

be warned though....the blade is a sheeps foot blade and serrated.....so you may want to carry a small knife with you also. i carry a small 3" spyderco.

If you are just looking for screw drivers and pliers, the Leatherman Kick is an excellent choice. Full size and strenght, but inexpensive, and reasonably light and slim.

I cannot say enough about the Leatherman Charge!

worth every penny as it has outdone my expectations countless times "in the field"

and I am very familiar with multi tools

my .02 cents

My favorite, and the tool I carry, is the Victorinox Spirit. I think it offers the best overall performance of anything available, particularly in terms of its ergonomics.
