hey guys so ive been using lucas heavy duty gun oil as my knife pivot oil. I see all the time kpl and nano oil mentioned. I was just curious whats everyone use and what do you guys think hold up the best overall?

I use a white lithium grease for firearms for my CRK Mnandi. It works rather well, at least I am happy with it.

thanks everyone for the ideas for the guys that do use grease any issues with gunk and dirt and dust sticking to your dentent track or on washers?

I use whatever firearm lube I have around. I used Rem Oil previously but currently working on a bottle of Breakfree CLP.

I admittedly rarely use my pocket knives for cutting up food.

Oil- slip 2000. Its non toxic and has a good consistency. Grease- red n tacky.

Folding knives that see dirty or dusty conditions I will run dry.

I just used a can of One Shot and I'm really happy with the results. It's a firearm dry lube but works great for knives. I especially like it for my axis locks, no lint and dirt buildup

I can’t say that I do. I think the trick is to use grease sparingly. You don’t need to slather it everywhere.

hm ill have to check this one out sounds that will do the trick

All of the above work fine.
I prefer Nano-Oil, it does not leave a sticky film to attract gunk.

Tri-Flow which contains Teflon is my favorite. I have tried many mentioned in the forum and always return to this. They also make a dry lube.
