Well I start a real job this coming Monday at http://www.resoluteracing.com.
The bad new I will not be hanging around here as much. :( But it may be good news for some because I will not be picking on them. :D
What's really cool they make the shells out on black carbon fiber. :D Any rejects will be coming my way. :D

George,
Sincerest best wishes with your new company! Creating something like racing boats has got to be a neat challenge, and being in a position where interacting with fellow workers has got to be a plus for a fellow as obviously outgoing and social as you are.
Don't give up on the knifemaking that allows for such individual creativity as our craft does and keep on with your involvement with the forums...your input is appreciated, at least by folks like me who are more tendant toward reading than writing.
Thanks for the past and Good Luck with your new future!

The team looks like they're ready to hit some relish as tequila chasers....
I was told that 2/3 of the employees are Portagees. :D So my relish will go over well in the shop. :D

congrats on the job. Will you be hands on in the making of the boats? Cause thats kinda cool.

Yep!!! They want me to learn all the aspects of it, so I can setup a scheduling system .

Dude! I've got a buddy who raced in Resolutes in college. They're fine machines. Congrats on hooking up with such a classy outfit.

Holy Smokes, IG. Do you mean I get a brief respite from your consistent ball-breaking? What am I supposed to do now? Crap!

I just hope you'll take time out of your busy corporate schedule to drop us little people a line here once in a while, Bubba! ;)

Btw... grats!

Congratulations IG! I hope you don't suffer no-shop withdrawals too badly. Maybe you'll still have the weekends? Sounds like a very interesting job though, so have fun!

Edit: Okay so I took a look at the Z1. Holy cow! I want that! (Unfortunately, I've "outgrown" it. ) Working anyplace that makes stuff like those boats has got to be a-okay. Rowing has come a Long way since I was in college... :D

Do they make one with a motor? Nice to hear some places are still highering senior citizen's. Do you know what your job will be?

Thanks guys.

Boy!!! Are you up early. To develop a scheduling system and to help in the finishing dept. The Plant Manager knows that I paint and do airbrush work on motorcycles. I would be doing touch up work on them because the get painted in Maine.
I told them I was only 40.

:D Yeah. I just said I wanted it, not that I could have it. (Even if it would support my weight... :D) That thing's worth more than both my work cars put together, and then some. Yikes! Toys for rich kids. ;) You're gonna be having fun. They let you get creative with the paint? :D
