Good News/Bad news. . .

So I was checking my Paypal account today after making a payment for a HEST folder when I just happened to notice that there was now a delivery notice with tracking info next to my Rick Hinderer payment info.

Woo Hoo! The moment I've been waiting for! My new XM -18 is on the way! That is great news. . . Right?

Well, not so fast. Let's take a closer look at the situation: The knife had just left and was at the distribution center. As I type this it is Friday morning, meaning it will probably arrive in Michigan sometime over the weekend. Monday is a holiday so no deliveries that day.

OK, you say, big friggin' deal? It will probably be at my house sometime on Tuesday. That's not so bad. Yeah, that's what I would figure too -except I'm supposed to be on a freakin plane bound for San Diego by six o'clock in the morning on that day! I'll be gone all week.

It seems like this kind of crap always happens to me when I want something really badly. Am I the only one?

This sucks. . .:grumpy:
 
I'm sure you will get before the HEST folder. DPx has been dragging their feet for a month on those folders (they were suppose to be done by Xmas). Don't feel bad you will have it before I get my HEST folder.

You're right on the money with that one concerning the HEST. It's been a goat rope from the get-go. I remember initially trying to just get information on what it was exactly that I was buying and none of the distributers even had a clue. I've pretty much just given up on it and figure it'll happen eventually.

I'm not going to obsess over it- after all, it's not like it's a Hinderer or anything. :foot: :p

This is one of those issues that everyone would love to have.

What sucks about knowing you're about to hold your own XM-18?
