Apparently Lost Mountain Iron Works is back in business! He was walking around blade show and stopped by our table. We talked for a good bit about knives before he let me know who he was. He's back in production and will also be making a backpack soon. I took him to the Ka-Bar booth so he could test whether a BK20 would fit his sheath. It did! So I took a couple pix.

These sheaths have a plastic or kydex insert to fully protect you from the blade. They're MOLLE/PALS backed for quick attachment.

Here's the site.

I used to have one of those sheaths - they are excellent.
I still have one of their "the Works" pouches -- good stuff!

Hmmm... I have one of the originals with two different slips. Will have to try that.

It was great meeting you at Blade. I can't thank you enough for the introductions. Still waiting on a sunny day here in rainy Michigan to take a few pics. Planning on a limited run of serialized packs to start. Then depending on demand we will increase production accordingly. I'm very excited. Glad you liked it. It's always nice to hear positive feedback. Thanks.

Charlie -- good to see you back in business, sorry I missed the chance to actually meet you (or realize that's who I was talking to at the time, whichever) -- looking forward to pictures of the new pack!

Hey bud, not to hijack the thread, but are will you make small little bags/pouches? I like to keep am emergency "survival kit" in my main kit. I've been using an army strong camera kit for this, and I can't find another/better one, more suited for it. Your work looks great bud!

Thanks! I appreciate the compliment. Yes we plan on offering a selection of grab bags. They'll be based on the pockets in our new backpack "The Big ASS" which just went up on the website this morning. Probably two sizes to start, but that will depend on everyone's feedback as to what they would like. Let me know what you're thinking and I'll get you something that works.

Great looking pack! And the Dangleberry is pretty cool!

I was thinking the same thing!

They have been shipping the Footlong. I just got two today. One 1/4" insert and one 3/16" they look great. I test fitted a Mountainmandu, 1111, and Dog Father in the 1/4" and it is a great fit for all. These are really nice.
