I got a call this morning and I have been hired by a new school.
Holy Cow, I never thought of myself as the workaholic type.
I tell you what though, a month without work just about had me going nuts.
I felt bad about myself for not making money, loafing about, posting way too often on the forum.....

Plus, once October rolls around, I can start buying again at my regular reckless pace.
Christmas is just 107 days away, and I plan on buying every relative ( that I really like) an HI product for Christmas.

Yeehaw!

Great news, Danny! :D Does this mean I can finally cash that postdated check you gave me for chef duties on the Frootloop

Congrats Danny! Nothing like a new job, new wife/girlfriend, new car, new gun, new knife, new khuk to make a man feel worthwhile!:D ;) I know you're gonna enjoy being among the employed once again, and so soon too. There are lots and lots of people here in the states that's been without a job a helluva lot longer than a month!
Can't see a teacher being without a job that long though, even in Oklahoma where they aren't paid shiit for beans!

on the job man. Last year I was unemployed for 5 months...with a wife and a newborn...almost enuf to make an honest man consider lucrative felonious activities...;)

The upside is that I have a newfound respect for employment...and the alternative.

Oh yeah, being jobless has sucked. Takako makes enough to pay the bills at her job, but I like having extra money. Brother, have I learned! I am gonna save some cash this time so the next jobless period I can keep on shopping.
thank you for the congratulations.
Yvsa, I had this dream that you and I went to Turner Falls and did flintknapping on a mountaintop. You ever been to Turner Falls?

Josh,
Yeah, it should be cashable after Oct 20th.
Also, we need 3 tons of powdered copper for the dielectric plates and 6 24V marine batteries.
I dont know if you can pick all that up for 800$, but do your best.
Also, I want a nice selection of little debbies in my mini-fridge.

I already picked up the copper and batteries last week. They're already palleted and ready to go. I'll pick up the Little Debbies just before takeoff to maximize freshness.

--Josh

freshness?!?!?!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

freshness....

Little Debbies are baked with a secret "anti-aging" ingredient. They are immortal snacks. there are people out there enjoying nutty bars made when Hitler was a baby.

Good for you Danny! I was out of work more than a year this last time, all of 2002 included, so know what you were going through.

I'm glad to hear that you are going to buy HI goodies for all your relatives... Brother! (-: I'll just tell Uncle Bill that you will be covering the bill on my next DOTD, OK? :D

Seriously, good idea about socking a few yen away; you never know in this economy when the worm will turn again.

Congrats!

Norm

Sorry Josh.
Just do what you think is best.
just no more of those "crepes avec sauce frasier" things, ok?

Norm,
A year must be terrible!
I couldnt imagine.
My dream now is to train myself and get a job that
a. i like
b. pays well enough
c. doesnt diappear

Even though you guys still haven't contacted me for the job, as an Engineer, I am compelled to remind you that besides the 3 tons of powdered copper for the dielectric plates and 6 24V marine batteries, you also need 1 AA battery for little red blinky light.

Saw one go out once, believe me, you don't want it to happen on the Frootloop!

I went 17 months once without a job. I had to do more than consider. ;)

Never underestimate the value of your job.

A few years ago I went 17 months without a job. I had to do more than just consider. ;)

Never under estimate the value of your job.

Danny, shouldn't you give the relatives you're closest to a 45/70 double rifle?

Congrats, Danny:) Your overly-frequent posts will be missed;)
