Where I live on the Oregon Coast, I get little or no radio signals. Is there a good weather/emergency radio with a good antenna for my home?
Thanks.

Well...if you want top of the line I would look into one of the Grundig Eton Satellit 750 radios. As reception is a problem this would be my choice as it comes with BNC connectors for external antennas. I also like the fact it can receive shortwave as well as AM, FM, shortwave, longwave, SSB. During times of emergency there is often a lot of shortwave usage and this would help you stay informed. Downside it does not have a crank for manual power if the batteries die and the power is out.

You might want to look here and see which radio would best fit your needs and budget. As you have reception problems I would look at those that allow for an external antenna

If you live in a radio 'dead zone' ,the only solution is to use satellite. The NOAA weather system is supposed to reach ,through a network of transmitters, everyone .Each transmitter covers a 40 mile radius. Do you know if one of those transmitters will reach you ?
