Good place for a new blade stop pin?

My Benchmade 760bk's blade stop pin is octagonal, and has begun to rotate due to my being unable to completely torque the T6 screw tight

When the pin is on a high point it will lock up the blade somewhat prematurely (very tight though), and when the pin is flat side to the blade there's a lot of play and the lock bar can be twanged.

I'd like to have two new pins made, one the average of the outer diameter between the flats and the highs and one the diameter of the highs.

Is this something I should take to a machine shop or is a finer touch needed?

Any input is greatly appreciated.
