I guess cutting any part of ya body is never really good but at least when I slipped with my knife today I was only feet from a Balsam Fir.
Three blisters worth of the healing antiseptic resin and I was good to go !

Yesterday I had planned on showing my buddy how you can eat the bulb on Western White Fawn Lilies, we couldn't find a single one and yet where I hiked today there was masses of them !

So those blisters in the fir tree have an antiseptic resin? You just split them open and rub the resin on the wound?
