Trying to hunt one of these down with no luck....

Anyone got an idea where to find one? Didn't see on eBay, and the classifieds are close to me since I'm not a "premium" member.....

You should look here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1327055-Sog-Desert-Dagger

There is one on the exchange right now. You should also enable your email.

How much are you looking to pay for one mint in box?

This is not a sales section. Careful you don't break any rules with further discussion of this subject (IE how much should one cost, or that you have one for sale as these are totally against the rules here and at your membership level).

Sorry, didn't mean to break any rules. I do have one but it wasn't for sale. Just curious as to their market value these days.

It has been situations like this that there is a rule about asking values of knives. Some people want to just know the value. But some other people would use such a question to hint that they have one for sale. This would be using the forum to sell with out the proper membership level. Just FYI.

Looks like someone's tried to remove the pommel with a big flathead screwdriver on that knife ,and botched it. and it's also very scratched.

I believe there is one on the bay right now and they do show up there from time to time.

Ah yea. The pommel scratches aren't too bad could probably fix that. But that screw needs to be replaced.
I wonder if SOG even has a screw for that old model.

I would never attempt to remove the pommel screw from SOG knife products. The screw is usually permanently affixed to the tang.

Well then I guess "awesome" means you're going to have to send it in to SOG for repairs as soon as you buy it. LOL
