Okay here's the situation,

I work in an interior office in a steel frame building, the company does not like us using streaming audio. Unfortunately the radios I have are not capable of picking up a signal especially from lower power stations in this room. I thought about running a wired through the ceiling but due to security issues it's likely that could get me in trouble or at least force me to do some fast talking. So, I was wondering are any of you aware of any small (say desktop size) radios that are especially good at picking up weak signals?

Thanks.

Have you tried fooling around with signal amplifiers? You might get lucky and find one that works reasonably well for 10 or 20 bucks.

This may not have the requirements you're looking for but I live in a very rural area, (we're now buried in snow), and I've tried all the radios that are supposed to bring in distant stations. The one that I will always keep is the G.E. Super Radio III. If you're looking for a quality, well built radio, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a radio that really does deserve it's reputation for pulling in distant stations on AM and FM stations, it's the best no matter how much money you spend.
