Looking for a multi-tool that will fit into the SOG Seal Team Elite nylon sheath. I guess the folded dimensions should ideally be around 1.75" wide and 4" long. Certainly not a lot bigger than this.

What do you like?

The Victorinox Spirit is right at your 4" overall length (perhaps a 0.1" longer). Good multi-tool and the one I carry.

The Leatherman Juice and Squirt are good keychain-sized multitools. If you want something more medium-sized, the Skeletool and Style are solid as well. When I carry a multitool, it's usually the Skeletool CX. Has all the tools I need and nothing I don't, and it's small enough that it rides comfortably in the watch pocket of my jeans.

The size you described (4" closed) is a full-sized multitool though, so you could even go with something like a Wave or Charge.

I own and recommend the Wave for full size, Juice as pocket size and Squirt as keychain size. You won't go wrong with any of them .

The Leatherman Wave or Charge and the Victorinox Spirit series are good options IMO.

Leatherman cx. I have a charge and is heavy. I'm not a pocket queen either. If you knew what I have hanging of my belt and in my pockets you would understand that I'm not effected by eight. The full sized tools are heavy.

In that size I'd go with the juice too. I carry one and one of those Swiss tool things in many a spec ops sheath.
