Good Read! Book on Jim Bowie

This is the final recommendation/review on "Bowie: a Novel of the Life of Jim Bowie" by Randy Lee Eickhoff and Leonard C. Lewis, published by Tom Doherty Associates, LLC.

Please see my prior post for full details, but this is a summary. The book is a very good read as historically based fiction. I cannot vouch for it as history, but it "rings true", and it definitely NOT in the Barbara Gartland class of historical fiction.

Also You might like to read "Three Roads to The Alamo: The Lives and Fortunes Of David Crockett, James Bowie, and William Barrett Travis" This is a SUPERB Bio of Bowie!!!! Author is William C. Davis. 'can't reccomend it too much. You will LOVE it. detailed and very well written.
