whats a good pair of scissors? I usualy use a small knife but there are some tasks that are better performed with scissors. And all the ones i have suck badly.

Leatherman Micra or a Victorinox SAK with scissors.
I love traditional pocket-knives but I find myself using the Micra's scissors so often that I can hardly justify carrying my congress or stockman.

Good luck,
Allen.

The handiest thing in the world - a cable splicer's kit - consists of a pair of electrician's scissors and a sheepsfoot knife in a handy belt pouch (around $25 at Home Depot's electrical dept).

I've used those snips to cut a million things in the course of my work day, including the top of my finger almost completely off.

Home Depot carries Kleins, but good quality scissors are also made by Jensen and Jameson.
