Got a Rat fix today in spite of the store's emptiness. At a local gun show i found a wrapped Rat Tail with Buy Brown kydex. The whole rig in probably 95% condition. There's a little wear on the coating, and the sheath's got a split in it, though it works fine. Looks like the original edge. Sixty bucks–I'm psyched. :D I'd post a photo if i could figure out how to size it right.

At shows around here you've got to look sharp for any bargains. Lots of things seem over priced, but at least you can haggle a bit. I knocked $5 off the Rat!

Dennis, you get first refusal–OK? But please don't hold your breath.

HA! You're not the only one, Dennis. But just in case, there's more than enough Clark bars, beer and bleech here in Chelsea to go around–for better or for worse! :eek:

By the way, I did a Google search on repairing Kydex. The manufacturer recommends using Super Glue. There are some other more elaborate methods using nasty solvents and stuff, even involving dissolving Kydex shavings, so it's good to know there are ways to make permanent repairs.

There are some nice knives to look at there at the show Wilmington. There's a guy called Atlantic Blade Smith's with a table whose got a lot of nice customs. I think it's open nine until three today.
