Good scout knife

Looking to pick up a good scout knife for my little bro. Have looked at the AG Russell scout knife, with 154CM steel, right now I am saving for two custom knives and can't afford to pick up a scout knife for myself for that much. I've decided to pick up something nice for him for his birthday every year, but nothing too expensive. Several of the guys in the Chesapeake Bay Knife Club I belong to sell and trade scout knives, but I have no idea what I'm looking for. Basically a main blade, a punch, a can opener, a bottle opener etc, should be well made, but doesn't need anything fancy. Another thing. My little brother hard uses his knives. I mean hard. Especially for a 12 year old going on 13. He has made forts with his SAK and el cheapo Chinese flipper I gave him. Thinking about a fixed blade for him too, but that is another time. Something durable, that can be cleaned, so used but not abused will be good, as opposed to a safe queen.

you might want to look on ebay for older ulsters, cases, ect. Thay have good carbon steel and will sharpen up really good.

just put scout knife in the search bar on ebay and you'll come up with a ton. The average price on cub scout , weblo or ,boy scout, girl scout knives (official scout knives) is between $20-$25.00 plus usuall $6.00 s/h.
