Good serrations VS Bad

I know most people here don't like serrations, but are there some that you to like? For me the scalloped serrations on Kershaw knives are good. (I would know, I just gashed my finger open with them 10 seconds ago.) Are there any other serrations (in your opinion) that a company does that are good? I personally like my combo edges. I like some serrations. Especially when cutting an edge rough material ie cardboard

I like them on my Emerson. The chisel edge flows from the plain edge all the way through the serrations. As opposed to most knives having a V edge for the plain side and chisel edge on the serrations.

I love the scalloped serrations. I am not a big fan of the # step serrations. The Veff serrations look cool though haha.

When it comes to serrations, I generally prefer a full-run of SpyderEdge. But I do like how Victorinox does a PS blade with forward serrations...

The Veff serrations on some CRKTs work pretty well. They cut/tear/rip very aggressively.

I don't like serrations as a general rule, but the Veff serrations are intriguing. I haven't had the chance to use them, however, so I can't say whether I'd actually like them in use.

Spyderco serrations - GOOD (ATR serrations are way to high, and therefore delicate).
Victorinox wave/sertations - ok.
Standard CRKT serrations - GOOD, or BAD, depenging on edge angle.
Veff serrations - to limited in use.
Kershaw scalloped serrations - total fail. It combines weak points of plain AND serrated edge. Harder to sharpen, do not keep sharpnes, easy to break on hard material.

I don't like half serrated knives most of the time. Now I agree scalloped serrations do have better cutting abilities than the standard ones that come on most knives. If I had a half scalloped serrated knife I would like that knife 10 fold over a standard one. The standard serrations are too pointy and tear a little too much for my liking. Just my opinion..

I don't like serrated edges usually, but if I had to choose a knife that had them Emerson does a great job

Chris Reeves kubili (sp) serrations look promising, the way they're cut on each side makes them sharpenable on a flat stone...always a plus IMO.

Do not like partially serrated knives at all, but the best serrations are without a doubt, in my mind, Spyderco's. Vic does have nice scallops, but they are not aggresive enough for me.

Love the Spydie serrations (half of my Spydies are fully serrated)

Gerber's are pretty decent in my experience

I also like Kershaw's a lot, even though they're a little different

Don't like Cold Steel (they break very easily) or Buck (useless, they don't cut, they just get caught) serrations at all

Wish more than 2 companies (Spyderco and Cold Steel) would offer fully serrated blades :)

Interested thread, keep 'em coming!
I haven't bought any knives with the Spyderedge yet, but am planning on that for my next one. Most likely a Dragonfly2 in full SE. It is amazing how such a small knife can just tear through things!
