Is there a decent portable sharpener/stone under $25? The knife to sharpen is a straight edge Spyderco Cara Cara.

Thanks!

Norton India combination bench stone. Low grit for reprofiling, high grit for finishing. The box that the stone comes in, definitely for stropping :D

Usually sells less than $20, and it's by far my favorite sharpening stone.

I second the Norton Fine India combination stone. It is cheap, readily available, will last a long time, and some of the best knifemakers in the world get the edges they want with it.

The Norton will give you a good working edge. It won't give you a highly refined, polished edge, but then nothing under $25 will.

Another vote for the Norton Course/Fine combo stone. The fine side will give an edge that can whittle beard hair and catch the hair on the back of your head well above the skin. The coarse side cuts quickly, but you need to be sure to clean both sides periodically.
