Good Sheath For Jersey Pattern Axe?

Hello,

Well the search function doesn't work so please forgive me if this is a repeated question.

I will be getting a Council Tool Jersey miner's axe and it will be used mostly for driving falling wedges. Ideally I would like to find a sheath that leaves the poll free for driving wedges with the sheath still in place. This would rule out the sheaths with the strap around the back of the poll. Do any of you have any suggestions of what to get and where to find it?

Thanks,
Steve

I have one that's just what you are looking for. I had it made for me at a local leather/harness shop. I'll post a picture of it when I get home. It's a top snap and only covers the bit. The eye and poll are not covered. I love it.

The Helko Large is a bit minimalist, and it does use a strap, but it’s easy to wrap the strap around the handle under the poll. But it will fit a Jersey pattern—not all the retail sheaths will. Twenty bucks on Amazon, and decently made.
