Good Small Light EDC?

For that price range, you're on the money.

I like my BM 707 Sequel for EDC, its small, with substancial blade surface... but either of these two (i'm leaning toward the BM & Spyder) will do you well.

I'd say go with the Leek.
Then again I am a big kershaw fanboy (for good reason).

You won't be disappointed with any of those picks.

I highly recommend the Delica. I also like the Griptilian, but if you're looking for a lightweight, thin profile knife, I think the Delica wins in the form factor category.

I would have also recommended the BM530 Lightweight (that's the name), but the blade is 3.25".

Another knife to consider is the Centofante 3. It's about 2.5 ounces and has a thin blade that slices much better than the Delica.

I'd go with the delica, although I do really like the benchmade axis lock, so consider that too. Good choices though!

the griptillian is a great EDC but for sheer weight the Leek is a better bet
also Opt for the disc serrades instead of the classic they cut faster and smoother

Nothing against the Benchmade or Spyderco; both great knives, but the Leek is hard to beat as a good EDC Knife. It's light, reliable, comfortable, and rides well, weather your casual, or suited. It also doesn't draw too much attention when drawn in public. Kershaw's Customer Service is second to none; not that you'll need it.

I'd go with the PE myself. To each his own though. Good luck.

Ok, you picked 3 very good, popular knives, so your going to get many different answers on the best one as each person has their favourite. Honestly you cant go wrong with any of them. My pick would be the delica or leek, for the slim and light profile.

Kershaw Skyline me thinks. I carry one at work and it is a very very fine small edc. Sharp, locks up tight, is extremely lt.wt. and just an all around nice little knife. keepem sharp

I am looking to get a good small and Light EDC. It must be 3 inches or less for legal reasons and preferably nice and light. I am currently looking at these

What do you guys think and do you have any other suggestions??

You might also consider this Spyderco from the Salt series. It's like a Delica, but lighter as it doesn't have the steel lining in the handle.

I also like Vivi's recommendation (above) of the Centofante 3. Great knife (but was a little hard - for me - to close it one handed).

If i had to choose between those 3:

the BM mini Grip

I have used the plastic spydies and don't like them compared to the steel ones.
They wiggle, or aren't as smooth.

I have a couple of leeks and find that i don't carry them.
the warncliffe point is very sharp and pointy, but there is no belly curve and limits me in my use. they tend to stay on my desk for mail opening and staple removal.

my edc is the kabar - dozier Thorn.
maybe more expensive than the 3 you are looking at, and just a touch over the 3 inches, but it's my favourite.

an interesting one - notice the price difference between New Graham and a random google search

Check out the Blade-Tech website and order one of the new imported Blade-Tech Mouse Lite folders. For $23 mine has been a champion so far. Nice little EDC. Spyderco originally maanufactured the design made by Tim Wegner but now Wegner/Blade-Tech do it themselves and the new version has come down considerably in cost.

Other than that I would also have to say a 154CM steel variant of the Benchmade mini-Grip is tough to beat.

wow thanks guys, I forgot how amazing this forum is. Anyway so a few responses. I am leaning toward the delica right now or the Salt. The Blad-Tech looks nice by a blad under 2 inches is a tad too short. The Skyline is over 3 inches, so I can't do that one. Does the Delica and the Salt feel sturdy? I don't want a knife that wiggles and such? That is my last question because if that is true I think I am sold on the Delica.

Gerber LST.

I'm generally no fan of Gerber, but this is a darn good suggestion. I recently picked up an LST (6009 model) for next to nothing on a popular net auction site and far prefer it to the Delica. The LST is made in America, is lighter and more pocketable (I carry in-pocket far more than I do with a clip), and has a thinner blade profile, more conducive to cutting. I acknowledge the steel is not as good as Spyderco's VG-10, but I outgrew steel snobbery long ago. Fact is, my LST's steel is plenty good enough to handle any and all real-world pocketknife tasks. (BTW, seems I'm not the only fan of the LST here on BF: Read this thread.)
