Has Victorinox or Leatherman ever made a SAK or multi-tool with a blade made of good steel? Not a super premium but maybe a D2?

The Leatherman Skeletool CX has a 154CM blade.
And the Charge Plus TTi has a S30V blade.

SAK's or multi-tools have knives just to for smaller tasks and those aren't intended for hard use.

If you want small strong blade in premium or just good steel, my advice is to have a small fixed blade as addition to SAK or multi-tool. Since fixed blade can handle more than your multi-tool blade can handle anyways.

Some of the larger models come in better steel. Unfortunately, really small models like the Squirt don't seem to have that option.

Not to pick the fly poop out of the black pepper, but the responses have been about Vic and LM uses "premium" steels; I always thought that the Vics and LM tools that I've owned had "good" steel.

I certainly don't mean for my post to be argumentative but run-of-the-mill steels have been in pockets, on jobs, ranches and farms for decades serving well enough. We that hang at BF and a different breed and tend to want "premium" and "super" steels for tasks that have been performed by good old 1095 or, in many cases, "lesser" steels.

A LM Charge with a blade in S30V or 154CM is cool beans!
