Good Storage Case for Folders?

Anyone have suggestions for a good storage case for my folders? Capacity of 12 5" or 6" (closed) length folders.

I saw one that looks reasonable here, but they're back-ordered and they don't know when (if?) it will be available again.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jim

Lowe's has an excellent wooden chest with felt lined drawers that can accommodate up to 75 to 100 folders. It is only $59.99, which makes it a great buy. It is made for both tools and/or knives.

Benchmade has a similar knife storage case like the one you linked to on their website. It costs about $35.00. It holds 12 knives. The pockets are close to 6".
Josh at PVK has an excellent cloth carrying case that holds 20 knives.

I've been using one of these toolboxes from Lowes for some time. The pic makes it tough to make out how versatile and roomy it really is. The latches lock which is a nice feature and I can keep fixed blades and folder in the same case. Check one out at Lowe's (and probably Home Depot as well) for a better look. Only $24.96

Roma kid,

I saw the case at PVK; the zippered nylon carrying case that holds 18? Is that the one you mean? Looks interesting.

But I can't find any case at all on the Benchmade site. Do you have a specific link?

Thanks,

I bought a Doskocil case at Galyan's that was advertised as a 2 pistol case. It has three layers of foam padding inside, is lockable, and has a carrying handle.
It has room for 18-20 knives, and I keep a packet of desicant inside to keep moisture to a minimum.
I think it was $12...

Expensive, but arguably the best. I have the Journeyman model tool chest. It belonged to my Dad. He used it for 38 years a little harder than it was intended for. It's still in GREAT shape, but still needs a little cleaning before I put it to use. It's now over 50 years old. I'll hand it down to my son someday.

I have a roll that is similar to the one you are looking for, got it at TAD Gear but it's no longer listed on their site. Did a search and found them in here http://209.35.185.42/ShopSite/Kangaroo_Knife_Pouches.html

A Gerstner tool chest is one of those things I am lusting after, I have to remember to check out the sale thet have every August. One of my co-workers had a knock-off they sell at Costco and the like, he dropped it while moving it off of his bench and it split open.

Hey Kid, do you have a link to those wooden chests? I couldn't find them on Loew's website.

TIA

I'd really like to pick up one of Gerstner's smaller chests. Either the 214 or 216 collector's chests. Either of these would be big enough to hold any knives (and a few other things) that I would want to keep in it.

stjames, how's the quality on those kangaroo pouches?

www.bladeart.com has a great codura case that hold about 60 knives, and it comes with a strap to carry like a satchel if you want to take to shows or wherever. I have one and it is very well made.

I heartily second Lifter on that case from Bladeart. Very nicely done, tough as nails, and designed for knives and travel.

Paul, the Kangaroo's (I have the 6 and 12 knife versions) as sturdy and cleanly made, nothing fancy and a very good deal. Very handy when you want to grab a few folders for show and tell ;)

Paul, the 12 knife case is 12" wide x 6" closed, the six banger is 6-1/2" by 6".

Fishin, these cases only handle a 5" closed folder at most.

Wow! You all are great! Didn't think I'd get this many replies. :D

I got an email from Dan O'malley of Bladegallery.com about the original case - seems he got a shipment in and they're available now. But the Kangaroo looks pretty much the same, and the price is better! think I'll try the 'roo first.

Lifter, the bladeart.com case does look nice, but a bit more than I need right now. But I DO like the carry sheaths and holsters I see on your site! I'll email you about something I've been looking for to carry my MT Halo III! :)

Thanks everyone!
