Can paint stripper be used to take of crovan or anything else that works?
 
Yes, is you look at the Becker Knife & Tool forum here there are tons of threads about stripping the coating off.

Don't know about Becker specifically but Zip Strip took the coating of an ESEE like nobody's business.
