Good Thoughts for Mom-- Munk

My mother is in ICU. I'll see her at the end of the week. Dad says there's not a lot of reason to hurry there as she does not recognize anyone. My sister says she squeezed mom's hand and recognized her. "That's a warm hand." Kate said. Mom squeezed back. The two of them have always been very close. If I squeezed her hand she'd probably think it was a spider.

I'm writing under a friends registration and computer. Janice is an old friend of mine. I loved her husband as much as Rusty. The late great Warren.

Anyway, she'll probably be checking in occasionally and seeing what you all have to say. She's shy about the net. Different world. She grew up before black and white TV.

Your prayers and smoke, wishes and good thoughts appreciated more than I can say at this time.

Well, it comes with the territory- no one gets out alive. I knew this was coming. But I'm...a son.

Hope mom makes it.

Won't be in for about 10 days. Will be in AZ and Green Valley to see mom.

I want her to see her grandkids. Hope she can. Will be traveling back via canyonlands with two oldest.
Picking up a M44 Russian. Well, I won't reccomend transference of pain to an inantimate object for just anyone, but WWll relics have always worked for me.
the heavily armed Subaru with a long hair driving, a Springfield 45, HI AK, Russian M44, and Soviet SKS on board.

And if anyone has to go, to pass, I'm glad I'll be in the Mojave and Sonoran. You can't ask for better deserts to talk to God.
And it's been awhile.

Sorry to hear that. My Mom's in Green Valley, too, and no longer recognizes any of her children. The miracle of modern medicine sometimes can prolong life, but not quality of life.

I'm very sorry Munk. I will be praying for her, and you.

Know what you mean about the desert...

Figurative smoke, Munk, since I'm in a hotel. My heart goes out to you. I hope your trip gives both you and your family something. I truly give my best wishes and hope for your mom, and I hope that the deserts can help you find whatever it is you need at a time like this. It's something different for everybody else, but I understand. Sometimes I'll go for a night-hike with no lights at all, just to sort of reconnect and talk to God in my own way. That's one of my best ways to figure stuff out and reconnect.

Take care munk, and always know we're here. Good luck, and all my best.

Chris

Hey Munk, if you make it farther into Utah, Say the Provo/Orem area, look me up. I can always be reached by email. I hear Canyon lands is nice. I think it's one of the few national parks in Utah that I have not visited. Or maybe I have. LOL

Prayers for your mom and family. Have a safe trip. Please keep us updated. By the way, a friend up here has a Russian M44. It's fun to shoot, but only a few rounds each trip. My dislocated shoulders don't like all that kick.

I'm sorry to hear that. Its never easy, even though we know its part of the cycle of life.

Hopefully, your great memories are a comfort.
